Do fans need to download an app?
No. Playlistr LIVE is entirely web-based. Fans scan the QR code and they're in — no app store, no account, no friction. Works on any phone with a browser.
Can I turn off written requests and only use the vote list?
Yes. Both tabs — "select from list" and "write your own request" — can be switched on or off independently from your dashboard. Run one or both, depending on what suits your gig.
What stops one person from flooding the queue?
Smart limits are built in. Guests are automatically rate-limited so no one can dominate the requests or votes. The system keeps things fair across the whole crowd without you having to manage it.
Do I have to play every top request?
No. The queue shows you what the crowd wants — you decide what to play. Think of it as real-time information, not instructions. You're always the artist.
Does it work without venue Wi-Fi?
Fans use their own mobile data. Most people have it. If the venue has guest Wi-Fi, share the password alongside the QR code for the best participation rates.
