Yes. Creating a profile on Playlistr Connect is free. A commission is taken on bookings made through the platform — this is how Connect stays sustainable without charging artists just to exist on it.
How does escrow work if a booking falls through?
If an event is cancelled, the escrow process handles the dispute according to the agreed cancellation terms. Funds are not released until the situation is resolved — protecting both the artist and the client.
When does the artist get paid?
48 hours after the event, or immediately when the client marks the event as complete — whichever comes first. No invoicing, no chasing, no waiting weeks for a bank transfer.
Can venues browse without creating an account?
Yes — artist profiles on Connect are publicly visible. You only need an account to make contact or initiate a booking.
